Bungalow Shotgun Double

Isaac Kremer/ November 6, 2024/ / 0 comments

A very common sight in many neighborhoods of New Orleans, this wood-frame bungalow on brick piers has a front gallery with a gabled roof. The roof may be supported by paired, slightly tapered wooden posts. Rafters may be visible at the eaves of a roof, and the entrances are doors with numerous glass panes over wooden panels, and multipane sidelights and transoms. (Vogt, 1992)
