Moses’ brother was a priest and is always portrayed dressed in prisely robes. They were dictated in detail by God (Exodus 28), and included a gold breastplate setwithfour rows of precious stones, a blue robe with alternating bells and pomegranates around the hem, a turban with a goldrosette engraved ‘Holy to the Lord’, a chequered tunic, and an embroidered sash.
