Split Entry House

This post-World War II two-story structure is organized around a central stairway located immediately inside the front door. Generally, the upper or main level is reached by a half-flight of stairs as one enters the front door. There the living room, dining-room, kitchen, and principal bedrooms are located. On the level below are additional bedrooms, utility space, and a garage. Floor plans vary. Stith and Meyer 1974, 6. (Jakle, 1989)
