A tempera on gesso, pitch, and mastic composition by Leonardo da Vinci in the convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan completed in 1492. The tempera painted mural, set during the last meal of Jesus before his crucifixion, depicts the reactions of Jesus’s Apostles as they learn that one of them will betray Jesus.
