Festival of the Forks, 1967
The Festival of the Forks was begun in 1967, and is held in the fall of each year. Numerous activities andsouvenirs appeal to all segments of the community. These include a children’s parade, ethnic food booths, and collector’s badges.
In the Festival of the Forks childrens parade, shown in the background are several “national chain” businesses that left Albion during the recession of the 1970s: Mcclellans, Murphy Co., J.C. Penny Co, and Gambles.
