Guardian Angel Roman Catholic Church – Edison, New Jersey

Guardian Angel Roman Catholic Church has a steeply pitched gable with intersecting gable to form the transept. An angular spire rises near the front with a crucifix on top.

Inside the steeply pitched roof frames the architectural space. Side aisles have extensive stained glass sections along the length of the nave.

A grotto with the blessed Virgin Mary is across the street from the entrance to the church. There is a space to sit and reflect surrounded by flowers and greenery.

The Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph are to either side of the altar.

Large abstract stained glass windows to either side of the transept. One has symbols of the evangelists – Matthew, MArk, Luke, and John. Another has symbols of the apostles, notably keys for St. Peter.

Following mass, the reflection from one of the transept windows on the wall by the Blessed Virgin Mary cast the most wonderful colors.

The Latin cross with glass inset in metal decorates one of the doors of the church.

An octagonal baptismal font rests on a cylindrical stone base.
