Dome like a sail-vault, i.e. with its diameter equal to the diagonal of the square from which it rises, the arched forms between the springing-lines creating an impression of a floating awning or sail billowing upwards. It is really a semicircular dome with four sides sliced off, coinciding with the sides of the square.
