Public Works Administration (1933-1935) of the U.S. government, begun under presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. This program built roads, bridges, post offices, and other buildings. In its buildings it used art created by the PWAP and later the WPA/FAP, predecessor to the WPA. ()
