Variant of American Colonial Revival which drew on the RC mission buildings in CA popularized from the 1890s after the World’s Columbian Exposition, Chicago, IL (1893). It is characterized by arcades, balconies, courtyards, and towers, with plain rendered walls and pan-tile roofs, and an absence of ornament or frippery… (Curl & Wilson, 2016)
