Low Tech
Antithesis of High Tech, it involves the recycling of materials and components and the use of traditional construction, insulation, and natural means of heating and ventilation. Low Tech recognizes the environmental damage done by High Tech through excessive use of resources, and has been applied to the circumstances of poverty-stricken areas, where it has been termed ‘alternative’, ‘intermediate’ and even ‘utopian’ technology… (Curl & Wilson, 2016)
