A house built with a blank side to allow for future expansion; so-called because a flounder fish has both eyes on the same side of its head; in Alexandria, Virginia, a small, shed-roofed, one-room-deep house built to satisfy regulations requiring construction ofa house within six months of purchasing the property. (Bucher, 1996)
