A Gothic vaulting system composed of vaults formed by a convex line rotated in a semicircle around a vertical axis, with the bottom of the line tangent to the face of the supporting clustered shafts and the top of the line intersection a flat ceiling; always decorated with fan tracery. (Bucher, 1996)
