A sheet of elastomeric material, as neoprene, EPDM, or PVC, having seams fused by heat or a solvent, fixed to a roof deck with adhesive, mechanical fasteners, or by the weight of a gravel ballast. Also called elastomeric roofing. (Ching, 1995)
