A flat, transparent, relatively thin glass having glossy fire finished surfaces that exhibit a characteristic waviness when viewed at an acute angle. The manufacturing process involves hand or machine blowing and drawing into sheets (or into cylinders that are then flattened). (Phillips, 1994)
