sheet vinyl

A type of sheet goods flooring composed of polyvinyl chloride resin plus clay-based inert fillers and pigment; manufactured mid-late 20th century with asbestos or felt backing; typically 1/16 – 1/4 inch thick. See also vinyl tile. (Bucher, 1996)
