Michaelmas
Symbolized by a sword, shield and balances (Webber, 1938). Michaelmas Day in England is traditionally a day when accounts were settled, contracts renewed and rents paid. A goose was expected as payment since they were at their prime. Legend has it that eating a goose on the Feast of St. Michael, September 29, will bring good luck and prosperity throughout the year (Kremer, 2025)
