Have fun and set a good example by becoming involved at many levels of your community. The best lesson is your own enthusiastic involvement in making your world a better place.

SituationSkill
When a volunteer is needed…Volunteer!
When someone has no place to sit…Give them a place to sit
If someone says something mean about a friend…Defend your friends and point out meanness!
When people talk about problems in your communityListen and learn. You might have a solution!
If you see someone litter…Pick up the litter and explain that we must all help to keep our community clean.
When you have a disagreement…Use your words!
When someone works hard to do a good jobCompliment good work!
When you are out in your neighborhood…Know the rules and follow them!
When you have to travel short distances…Walk or ride instead of driving – it’s good for you and the environment!
