Good Citizenship
Have fun and set a good example by becoming involved at many levels of your community. The best lesson is your own enthusiastic involvement in making your world a better place.

| Situation | Skill |
| When a volunteer is needed… | Volunteer! |
| When someone has no place to sit… | Give them a place to sit |
| If someone says something mean about a friend… | Defend your friends and point out meanness! |
| When people talk about problems in your community… | Listen and learn. You might have a solution! |
| If you see someone litter… | Pick up the litter and explain that we must all help to keep our community clean. |
| When you have a disagreement… | Use your words! |
| When someone works hard to do a good job… | Compliment good work! |
| When you are out in your neighborhood… | Know the rules and follow them! |
| When you have to travel short distances… | Walk or ride instead of driving – it’s good for you and the environment! |
