Strips of wood laid over a glossary/concrete-floor/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="4cb605a82f21c0d646c38e0076cac394" target="_blank" >concrete floor thereby providing a base to which flooring may be nailed or glued. Also, timbers, heavy beams, or logs laid on the ground to receive joists/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="958d29fbaeaabe9d1f15ac7b2499e6ac" target="_blank" >floor joists and help distribute the load. (This latter type of sleeper is most frequently found in cabin construction.)
