Never underestimate what some green astroturf and timbers can do to activate an empty or underutilized glossary/public-space/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="3d5e3cff2e45087d6cce48ece996f028" target="_blank" >public space. We loved stumbling across this pop-up bocce court in Millburn, New Jersey.

Something else they got right was clustering furniture/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="cff994f9e45e98cdcaeb9b67ea14172e" target="_blank" >movable furniture, planters, and art/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="3b5d524e702b20f6df3a51c47d8d5cb1" target="_blank" >public art elements. Altogether it made a nice unexpected outdoor gathering space.

Only thing lacking is to get the bocce court surface as level as possible. Every ball we threw kind of rolled off into the bead/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="578cb1a0f618c79c0949cc78c076b63f" target="_blank" >corner. We recommend to quickly activate underutilized spaces by adding features like this.
