Visit to St. Michaels, Maryland

Our visit began outside the Eagle House in St. Michaels. The distinctive central tower is surmounted by a sculpted eagle.

Passing through town there were many charming one and two story buildings, supporting a diverse and eclectic collection of shops. Colors varied greatly from one two the next enhancing the overall visual interest of the downtown.

This outdoor seating area with room for two to sit side-by-side and planters framing it, created a friendly spot for people to gather along one of the main streets.

An event brought us to the harbor. We arrived just as a major storm was passing through and giving way to blue skies. One had a distinct sense of how the sea met the sky at this moment.

On our way out the next morning, a stop at Rise Up Coffee Roasters gave us an extra energy boost for our ride home.
