Pallet Chair – Metuchen, New Jersey

Our earliest chair from October 2016 wasn’t much to look at.

After some modifications during an AARP community build a year later, the chair was ready for placing in the public realm in October 2017.

Imagination Alley with sanded and painted chairs as a key design element in October 2017.

By August 2018 the chairs needed repainting.

One of the last of the original chairs in May 2019 before being removed from Imagination Alley.

We went from building single chairs to ten at a time. Here are the chairs under production before being given to artists a few days later.

Finally, the 10 chairs were auctioned off in October 2019 to raise funds for future public art projects downtown.
