Sienna marble

A marble that comes from Siena in Tuscany, Italy and is characterized by beautiful golden hues and various shades of yellow and orange. The background of the stone is characterized by thin veins and fractures and it is crossed by white, light grey or ivory veining. As seen in the Boston Public Library grand staircase from the lobby to the second floor.
