We arrived early – well before the announced start time at 730pm. As the crowd filtered in things were orderly. Volunteers shared a qr code with links to a festival map and schedule.

Walking around the building before the show i commented on the pegasus with sea tail.

We found our spot up close and to the left of center. This was the least crowded spot on the grounds and close to the edge.

There were several brief animations. The first was rich in classical and art historical references. It pushed possibilities for the building the furthest and had something to say about history and art.

Funky Gum brought with it a self style theater of the absurd.

The final animation most related to Asbury Park.

We loved this reference to tentacles from a popular public art project by another artist.

Music legends seemingly got their due.

The cartoon on Wonder Bar made a cameo feet away from this iconic Asbury Park mural.

Finally, dancing figures seemingly welcomed the audience to join in and move with the color, light, and music.

It was a beautifully staged show. As we made our way to the car to head home it was inspiring to see Asbury Park all lit up.
