Description
Location of some of the finest homes in Albion. Originally named the Homer Road,was renamed Irwin Avenue in honor of one of Albion’s well respected earlyresidents, Samuel V. Irwin. This east west oriented street is bounded bySuperior Street in the east, and continues through the countryside to the west.The most historic homes are built on the few blocks nearest Superior St. As onetravels west along the street newer residential developments are seen near theLutheran Church, and further west by the St. Johns Catholic School. The MemorialGarden Cemetery is on the north side of Irwin Avenue, immediately outside oftown.
