Identifying Features
Porches with spindelwork detailing (turned spindles and lace-like spandrels) or flat, jigsaw cut trim appended to National Folk (post-railroad) house forms; symmetrical facade (except gable-front-and-wing subtype; cornice-line brackets are common. (Source: McAlester, 1984)
