Monfort D. Weeks, 1849
Died 1920
Monfort D. Weeks was a prominent Calhoun County lawyer who served as Albion city attorney for many years. Weeks had the largest practice of any Albion attorney. Weeks was Homestead Loan and Building Association’s first attorney; his knowledge of affairs and his family’s carpentry background made him an asset to the Homestead board. Weeks was also a director of the First National Bank of Albion, one of the original incorporators of the Commercial & Savings Bank, and the attorney for the Gale Manufacturing Company.
