Sybil Robinson served as art director for the Albion Public Schools for a total of 43 years, from September 1893 to June 1936. Miss Robinson was an 1890 graduate of AlbionHigh School, and graduated from both Albion College and the Art Institute of Chicago. She was the first art instructor for the Albion Public Schools on a part time basis when the program was initiated. She taught full time beginning in 1906, when grade school art was added to the curriculum. Miss Robinson also served on the city library board from 1918-1924.
