Biographical Description
Replacing Brautigam as superintendent on Septemeber 1, 1969 was James S. Lantz, who had served as assistant superintendent in the 1968-69 school year. Lantz was named acting superintendent and held that position for most of the 1969-70 school year. He was a 1961 graduate of Ashland College, and received his masters degree in educational administration from Eastern Michigan University in 1965. Lantz had come to Albion in July 1968 from Tekonsha, where he had served as assistant school superintendent.

Lantz was followed by Jack E. Meeder, who became superintendent on March 27, 1970.
