James Kingsley
Albion City Attorney
James Kingsley, Albion City Attorney, is responsible for provision of legal services to the city. In 1975, Mark Garrison joined Jim’s legal-firm and was appointed Deputy City Attorney. These legal services are obtained through a retainer contract inasmuch as the city has not and does not prefer to have a full time legal staff. This office not only has the responsibility of advising the council and manager on legal matters, but they are responsible for prosecution of city ordinance violations, drafting proposed ordinances, preparing deeds and easements, and preparing contractual documents for the city. The present city administration is most pleased with the continuation of outstanding impartial legal counel which has been rendered by a long line of excellent city attorneys.
