Mary Peabody Sheldon Ismon
Died
Wife of prominent 19th century banker James W. Sheldon and daughter of the first white settler Tenney Peabody. The Mary Sheldon Ismon house is a prominent social meeting place named in her honor. She is buried with her first husband James and second husband Henry Ismon in the Sheldon Mausoleum at the entrance to Riverside Cemetery.
