Grant, Hannah Tracy, 1765
    Died October 30, 1841

Hannah Tracy, born February 25, 1765, was the fourth daughter of Thomas and Lucy Tracy. Her father was a descendant of English and Saxon Kings. Hannah married Dr. Isaac Grant, who served in the ContinentalArmy.

The Grants’ son, Rev. Loring Grant, moved to Albion from New York in 1839. Hannah and her husband joined their son in later years, living in the”Bell House” of Albion College.

Hannah died in Albion on October 30, 1841; her husband died eleven days later.

The local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, organized in October 1905, was named the Hannah Tracy Grant Chapter in her honor.
