Field, Nellie G., 1889

Nellie Field was born in Mason, Michigan, on June 11, 1889, one of eight children born to Isaac and Eva Brewer Field. She graduated from Mason High School in 1907 and then attended Albion College.

After graduation, she taught piano and organ at Albion College, and privately to hundreds of children.

Nellie was the organist at both the First Presbyterian Church and the First Methodist Church from 1936 to 1958, and at Wesley Chapel during the summers from 1959 to 1962. She was the president of the Sorosis Alumnae.
