George Vail Dearing was Henry Montgomery Dearing’s youngest son from his first marriage. On May 29, 1912 George Dearing was arrested. He had been assistant cashier of the Albion National Bank since the beginning of 1909, replacing Seth Hyney (1850-1920), who left to become cashier at the Albion State Bank. During the era of the old First National Bank, George had been an assistant cashier until 1898, when he left to work for the People’s National Bank in Jackson for a ten year period. George also was a Notary Public while in Albion.
