Rae S. Corliss, 1900
Died 1990
Rae S. Corliss (1900-1990) started the Journal of Albion, a newspaper that first appeared on November 3, 1956, and soon became a valuable resource tool for anyone wishing to learn about Albion and its heritage. He started this paper as an alternative to the Albion Evening Recorder, at the urging of several prominent citizens. In addition to feature columns by local writers, Rae often featured historic Albion photographs. He gained manysubscriptions from former Albion residents who liked to reminisce about their earlier days in Albion. The final issue of the Journal was published May 20, 1989.
