Chauncey, Myrtle M. Campbell, 1877

Myrtle Campbell was born in Lawrence, Kansas, in 1877. She spent her childhood in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Myrtle graduated from the University of Michigan Nursing School in 1900. She married Dr. E. M. Chauncey in 1906 and helped as a nurse in his practice. They had one son, Richard.In 1948, Myrtle wrote a book titled Every Woman’s a Gracious Hostess. The Albion Public Library has a copy of the publication. She was an life honorary member of the University of Michigan Registered Nurses Association, a life honorary member of the E.L.T. Club, a life charter member ofthe Albion Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
