Homer C. Blair became the bank’s third president on July 1, 1912, and served in that position for nearly forty years. He was born January 27, 1872, and came to Albion in 1894. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Blair was in thedrugstore business in Albion for fifteen years. A prominent Albion citizen he served onthe local school board, and played a large part in the acquisition of Victory Park. He became vice-president of the bank in 1910. Blair is credited with guiding the bank through the financial difficulties of the 1930s. He retired as president in 1951, remaining on the boardof directors until 1955, when the bank merged with the Jackson City Bank & Trust Company. He died at the age of 100 on March 27, 1972, with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
