Chamber of Commerce, 1923

A significant event in the development of Albion was the establishment of the Albion Chamber of Commerce on November 19, 1923. Meeting at the local Boosters and Knockers club, an executive committee began a campaign for membership. With 531members, the organization soon began projects aimed at making Albion a better place in which to live and to do business.

One of the chamber’s first projects was to contract with the Albion Evening Recorder to publish a massive edition of their paper on May 19, 1924.The seven-section edition promoted every aspect of Albion life and its business. P38
