The Sigma Nu House at 504 East Erie Street was one of several large and majestic fraternity houses on the campus of Albion College that were landmarks for many years. Nicknamed “the castle,” the house had originally been the home of Sylvester Allen, vice president of the Commercial and Savings Bank. Replacement fraternity houses were built by Albion College in 1966, and the Sigma Nu House, as well as others, were thereby demolished.
